U10 Boys - Devon In2Hockey Finals

The U10 boys played in the Devon In2Hockey Finals on March 25th at Plymouth and finished second! In doing so, they qualified for the regional finals at Clifton on the 6th May.

There were 8 teams at the tournament and so it was decided that a round-robin format was the best option. Isca played 7 team and after 6 games there were three teams all level on points - Tiverton, Plymouth Marjons and Isca.  It all came down to results in the last game, which all three teams won and so places came down to goal difference. With a goal difference of +8 Plymouth Marjon came 3rd; Isca were second with a goal difference of +9; and Tiverton won the tournament with a goal difference of +10.  It was incredibly tight and every goal scored made a difference and every goal saved made a difference!

It was great day played in lovely sunny weather and to go unbeaten and not concede a single goal was great. All the boys were brilliant and it is worth noting that only four of the nine Isca players were Year 5s, two were Year 4s and three were Year 3s.

Results:
Isca U10s 1-0 Ivybridge
Isca U10s 2-0 Plymouth HC
Isca U10s 4-0 Ashmoor
Isca U10s 0-0 Tiverton
Isca U10s 0-0 Plymouth Marjons
Isca U10s 0-0 ECV Hornets
Isca U10s 2-0 Exe
