About the club
Isca Hockey Club was founded in 1912 and has grown into the largest club in the west. In 2013 we celebrated our centenary year. The club caters for all ages and abilities with 6 men's and 7 ladies' league teams as well as vintage, veteran and junior teams. Our respective Men’s & Women’s 1st XI compete in the National League, West Conference. The club also enters the England Hockey and Devon Cup competitions. Isca’s O40's are the reigning National Champions and are the only club to win the veteran championship twice. Isca vintage has been National Champions a number of times over recent years.
Isca seeks to encourage a blend of competitive achievement on the pitch with a strong, family-orientated social side off it. The encouragement of junior hockey is a key focus which now boasts over 150 boys and girls. The success of the juniors is borne out by the number of young players going on to achieve representative honours at county, regional and national levels.
All matches & most training takes place at Exeter University, where we have use of top-class facilities, including the water & sand-based pitches. We have an outstanding team of well-qualified and enthusiastic coaches and there is weekly training for all teams on the water-based pitch. In the summer, we run mixed and ladies teams to help stay in touch with friends throughout the year.
