Pre-season tournaments

Several teams participated in pre-season tournaments last weekend, with the ladies' teams finding success but the men's teams being washed out down in Plymouth.
Ladies 2s/3s: A mixed team of potential seconds and thirds players quickly learned to play together and played some good passing hockey throughout the day. The final v the University of Exeter LHC was a closely contested game ending 0-0, which Isca just won on a series of penalty stokes.
Ladies 4s/5s: This team played some good passing hockey once they got to know each other. A good mix of young talent and experience coped with torrential rain to play well.
Men's 2s and 3s: Isca men entered two teams into the Devon Hockey tournament at Plymouth Marjons. After some good performances by both teams despite some seriously inclement weather, unfortunately the tournament was called off. They look forward to more matches this coming weekend!
