Match Report

Isca got off to a strong start, securing a short corner with Jen Lynch slotting the ball straight past the keeper. Yeovil & Sherborne Managed to equalise not long after but Isca kept the pressure on, allowing Charlotte Gale to score Isca's second goal of the game. After another equaliser, Charlotte once again broke free to roof the ball into the top right of the goal. Another Yeovil goal followed, but another Isca chance resulted in another short corner. Aisling Reid took the first shot, but the resultant save from the Yeovil & Sherborne only got as far as Maddy Davies, who expertly rounded the goalkeeper to score Isca's fourth goal. Yeovil eventually managed to break free of the Isca defence, leading to yet another goal. However, a slick series of passes allowed Annabel Gulliver to bring the home team ahead once more. Isca managed to hold onto the lead for a while, but couldn't hold up against relentless pressure from the opposition who managed to score around 5 mins from the end of the game. Overall an eventful but encouraging game of hockey from both sides.
