GOOD NEWS
Isca Men's Hockey Club and Isca
Dragons Ladies Hockey Club are planning to merge.
Over the next year various aspects of each club will gradually be
brought together and the full official merger will take place in time
for the 2009-10 season. The 2008-09 season will be the platform from
which various working parties will plan and prepare for the big day. It
will not be a simple task and a lot of time, care and work from each
club will be put into this project.
The final outcome will herald a
great future for the two clubs.

Isca Men's Hockey Club was founded in 1913 by various members of the Exeter
YMCA. The Club has gradually risen in stature and, since the 1970s, has been
amongst the premier clubs in the West Country.
Isca Men's Hockey Club competed in National League hockey from 1979
to 2000 and continues to work hard to regain its National League status.
The Isca star players of the
1970s continue to play as Veterans, consistently reaching EH Cup Quarter
Finals and Semi Finals and in 2007 were EH Cup Champions. The Vintage Team
were EH Cup Champions in 2001, 2002 and 2005.
Isca Men's Hockey
Club's Junior and Youth
Sections are well established and are very successful parts of this South
West Premier Division hockey club.
With
experienced, well qualified and enthusiastic coaches, the young
players receive a high level of instruction tempered with a great deal
of fun. All age groups from U9 to U18 compete in
national, county and club competitions.
Isca Men's Hockey Club has a clubhouse within walking distance of its home
pitches, which consist of both artificial sand-based and water-based
facilities.
Isca Men's Hockey Club actively encourages its members to undertake
coaching, leadership and
umpiring courses and qualifications.
The Club is always in need of new sponsors and the Club Captain
would be happy to discuss a sponsor's package tailored to suit an
individual, company or organisation. For further information please
