| Andrea Lynch married Ben Laxon in a wonderful Irish Wedding at on Saturday in Londonderry with a superb reception in scenic at Ballyliffin in Donegal. Ben a member of Isca for many years since his schooldays and current first team member brought Andrea to Exeter two years ago and she has been a feisty member of the ladies first and second team in that time. Andrea , a vet had a horse guard of honour as she entered the church and we had an Irish Catholic wedding that was beautiful. Andrea , Ben and close family went to the beach for photographs as the guest went to an Irish pub for Guinness. The reception with a wonderful menu, a live band and Andrea as the ‘star turn ‘ singing ‘Nobody does it better’ with a stunning voice to Ben. The Isca hockey boys did Ben proud on the dance floor (where was Ben?)with an exhibition of outrageous dancing – notably Sam, Nick, Jamie and Adam who were the first on the dance floor and remained there all night. They gained massive respect from their wonderful Irish hosts by out drinking, singing and dancing the rest all weekend. (They gate crashed another wedding the night before until 2am!). Graham ‘The father of the team’ became quite animated in the early hours with his Status Quo impressions. Sunday morning all went for a swim in a lovely clear and warm sea (yes warmer than Devon – Gulf Stream) on an empty pristine white sandy beach. A challenge to the first team boys is to organize a social next season as you certainly know how to enjoy yourselves! Many congratulations also to Aoife-Jane (AJ) from the ladies section, who married Adrian Culley last weekend. Photos below! |
